Anxiety and Stress

Anxiety and stress can create a havoc on your wellbeing. When we are stressed and anxious, we tend to worry about the same things as other people do, the main difference is that we worry more and worry more often. With anxiety and stress, we tend to worry more about unlikely future events.

When anxiety takes over our lives it starts affecting how we think, feel, and behave. In therapy, we are going to learn tools that help us change our unhelpful thinking patterns and use helpful coping methods to manage stress and anxiety. Through a combination of talk therapy and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy in our sessions, we will identify and acknowledge thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and cultivate a present-focussed and non-judgemental mindset to improve overall wellbeing.
